- Responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities and efforts of the complex in order to produce profitable, quality products within a safe environment and in a timely manner that meets the needs of the customer.
- Coordinate production units to achieve company-wide and individual complex goals with a minimum amount of waste or rework.
- Establish complex objectives, identifying the requirements to meet production needs.
- Provide leadership and direction in establishing a safe environment and a "Good Neighbor" policy with the community.
- Provide direction and assist in the development of managers for promotion to higher levels of responsibility.
- Evaluate capital projects to determine feasibility.
- Approve all salaried hires, overseeing complex's salaries and wages.
- Responsible for food safety, food quality, and legality.
- All other relevant duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Poultry Science, Animal Science or other related field of study required
- 10+ years experience in poultry industry
- 3+ years experience in Feed Mill, Hatchery, Grow-out and Plant Operations
- Expert computer skills and knowledge of creating and formulating spreadsheets.
