Reports To: Parts Manager

Schedule: Full-Time Position

M-F (Hours Vary)

Summary: The Parts Counterperson is responsible for assisting customers and service department personnel with the selection, ordering, and distribution of automotive parts. This role ensures accurate inventory control, timely communication, and a high level of customer service at all parts counters and through phone interactions. 

Essential Duties:

  • Assist all customers (retail and internal shop) in selecting and locating required parts in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Respond to phone inquiries, providing pricing, availability, and product information.
  • Process parts orders for shipment, delivery, or pickup in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Notify the Parts Manager of any out-of-stock items or urgent inventory needs.
  • Communicate with Service Advisors and customers regarding the arrival of special-order parts.
  • Replenish assigned inventory and maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and professional front and rear counter areas.
  • Assist with inventory counts and basic inventory control processes.
  • Participate in required training and development programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to parts sales.
  • Support overall department efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Remains fully compliant with Company HR trainings.
  • Maintain professional and courteous attitude, wardrobe, and grooming.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
