Schedule: Full-Time Position
M-F (Hours Vary)
Summary: The Parts Counterperson is responsible for assisting customers and service department personnel with the selection, ordering, and distribution of automotive parts. This role ensures accurate inventory control, timely communication, and a high level of customer service at all parts counters and through phone interactions.Â
Essential Duties:
- Assist all customers (retail and internal shop) in selecting and locating required parts in a professional and efficient manner.
- Respond to phone inquiries, providing pricing, availability, and product information.
- Process parts orders for shipment, delivery, or pickup in an accurate and timely manner.
- Notify the Parts Manager of any out-of-stock items or urgent inventory needs.
- Communicate with Service Advisors and customers regarding the arrival of special-order parts.
- Replenish assigned inventory and maintain accurate stock levels.
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional front and rear counter areas.
- Assist with inventory counts and basic inventory control processes.
- Participate in required training and development programs.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to parts sales.
- Support overall department efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Remains fully compliant with Company HR trainings.
- Maintain professional and courteous attitude, wardrobe, and grooming.
- Other tasks as assigned.

Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Two years related experience and/or training preferred
- Prior General Motors experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in basic math skills
