TIG Welder

Skillforce is hiring Stainless TIG Welders for ongoing project work in Colonial Heights, Virginia. As a Stainless TIG Welder, you will be responsible for fusion TIG welds on stainless steel duct flanges. If you have hands on TIG experience on stainless sheet metal, apply now!

Stainless TIG Welder Pay:

• $29.00 to $32.00 per hour based on your experience and demonstrated weld quality.
• W-2 employment with weekly pay by direct deposit.
• Your rate is set at hire based on the work you can show, not on a job title.
• All welding equipment, leads, and consumables are provided at no cost to you.

Stainless TIG Welder Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, full time, on day shift.
• Ongoing project work at an active industrial site in Colonial Heights.
• No nights and no weekends, so your evenings and weekends stay yours.
• Steady daytime hours on a single site, with no travel between jobs.

Stainless TIG Welder Responsibilities:

• Run fusion TIG welds on 18 gauge stainless steel duct flanges.
• Hold heat control tight enough to avoid blow through on thin wall material.
• Fit and tack flanges square to the duct before making the final weld.
• Keep welds clean, consistent, and finished to the sanitary standard required.
• Work from drawings and field dimensions, and keep your area clean and safe.

Stainless TIG Welder Qualifications:

• You have hands on TIG experience welding stainless steel sheet or light gauge material.
• You are comfortable running fusion welds without filler rod on thin wall material.
• You do not need a welding machine, leads, or stinger, because all equipment is provided.
• You bring your own welding hood and gloves to the job site every day.
• You have reliable transportation to the job site every day.
• You can pass a drug screen and background check.
• You are authorized to work in the United States.
