Summary: The server’s main job function is to serve our guests in a timely, courteous and efficient manner; to continue to educate and enhance his/her knowledge of food and beverage so as to direct the guest through a knowledgeable and memorable experience and effectively collect the correct payment for our goods and services.

Job Duties:

  • Greets guest within 2 minutes of being seated
  • Take food and drink orders, answering question about food and drinks including method of preparation, portion size, ingredients and price
  • Offers, suggests and inform the guests of products they may be unaware of to enhance their experience
  • Deliver orders to the guest in a timely manner
  • Anticipates guest needs and fulfills those needs courteously and efficiently
  • Serves alcoholic beverages with respect to NYS laws of responsibility. Refills beverages following alcohol awareness procedures
  • Ensures that all products served are rung accurately into the POS system
  • Processes guest’s payments following appropriate accounting procedures for closing checks and collecting payment
  • Actively promotes all special events held at the restaurant and in the company
  • Actively attends all educational opportunities provided by management and continually seeks to learn and discover new information and knowledge of food and beverage
  • Prepares thoroughly by performing all side work assignments before and after service
  • Communicates to supervisor all significant matter and assist in prompt corrective action
  • Train and assist with training of any and all new employees
  • Maintains a respectful and cooperative working relationship with all other employees
  • Maintains a professional, polished appearance
  • Presents a positive and supportive image of the company
  • Side duties include cleaning, stocking and maintaining all aspects of the restaurant
