If you enjoy variety in your day, learning new skills, and helping pets and their people during important moments, this role may be the perfect fit. What You’ll Do As a Floating Veterinary Assistant, you will support patient care across various specialty departments and play a key role in keeping our hospital running smoothly. Responsibilities include: Assisting doctors and technicians during examinations and procedures Safely restraining patients for exams and treatments Processing diagnostic samples Preparing and obtaining patient medical histories Supporting workflow across multiple departments Maintaining clean and organized treatment spaces Communicating with clients and supporting appointment coordination Assisting with procedural setup and anticipating doctor needs Helping maintain inventory and supplies Skills & Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year in a veterinary assistant role Surgical experience preferred Experience with animal restraint preferred (Fear Free techniques are a plus) Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and time management skills Positive attitude and commitment to patient care and client service Demonstrates flexibility with scheduling and adapts quickly and effectively to changing priorities, workflows, and patient care needs Schedule: Work 4 days per week (10-hour shifts), Monday through Friday  Exact workdays vary based on business needs Hours: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM Schedule is set one month in advance Must have availability Monday through Friday What We Offer: Competitive compensation and benefits package PTO, 401(k), healthcare benefits, and more Opportunities for advancement in specialty veterinary medicine Continuing education and cross-training Employee appreciation events and a team-focused culture   Qualifications
