What this job involves:Ā Join our team supporting mission-critical facilities where fire safety systems are essential to protecting lives and operations.Ā As part of ourĀ FacilitiesĀ Management team, this positionĀ is responsible forĀ the maintenance, testing, and repair of fire alarm systems and life safety equipment to ensure compliance with local fire codes and building safety regulations.Ā 

Ā 

Your day-to-day tasks will include:Ā 

  • Performing routine inspections and testing per NFPA standards and local fire codesĀ 

  • Diagnosing and repairing system faults, ground faults, and communication errorsĀ 

  • Running fire alarm circuit wiring andĀ terminatingĀ connections throughout facilitiesĀ 

  • Maintaining detailed service records and compliance documentationĀ 

  • Coordinating with fire marshals and inspectors during system evaluationsĀ 

  • Responding to emergency service calls to restore critical life safety systemsĀ

MinimumĀ Requirements:Ā 

  • 3+Ā yearsĀ ofĀ fire alarm systems experienceĀ 

  • Experience with major manufacturers (Simplex, Notifier, Edwards, Honeywell)Ā 

  • Knowledge of NFPA 72 and local fire codesĀ 

  • Experience with mass notification and emergency communication systemsĀ 

  • Familiarity with sprinkler system integration and fire pump controlsĀ 

  • Strong electrical troubleshooting skillsĀ 

  • Ability to read electrical schematics and system drawingsĀ

Preferred Qualifications:Ā 

  • NICET Level II Fire Alarm Systems certificationĀ 

  • Technical certification in fire alarm systemsĀ 

  • PreviousĀ experience in commercial or industrial facilitiesĀ 

Ā 

Physical Requirements & Work Conditions:Ā 

  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heightsĀ 

  • Lift up to 50 pounds regularlyĀ 

  • Extended periods of standing, walking, and climbingĀ 

  • Manual dexterity for fine electrical workĀ 

  • On-call availability for emergency service callsĀ 

  • Work in various environmental conditions (mechanical rooms, rooftops, basements)Ā
