Hotel Equities is looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager at the Lumen8 restaurant located in the SpringHill Suites in Colorado Springs, CO.
About the Role:
The Assistant Restaurant Manager plays a critical role in supporting the Restaurant Manager to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations of the restaurant. This position is responsible for maintaining high standards of customer service, managing staff performance, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The Assistant Manager will actively participate in inventory control, financial management, and staff training to drive profitability and operational excellence. They will serve as a key point of contact for both employees and customers, resolving issues promptly to maintain a positive dining experience. Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to achieving the restaurant’s business goals and fostering a collaborative and motivated team environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher in hospitality management is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including food safety and labor management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead a diverse team.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and restaurant management software.
- Certification in food safety or ServSafe Manager certification.
- Proven track record of improving operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Bilingual abilities to better serve a diverse customer base.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Restaurant General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations to ensure quality service and customer satisfaction.
- Supervise, train, and motivate restaurant staff to maintain high performance and adherence to company policies.
- Manage scheduling and labor costs to optimize workforce efficiency while meeting operational needs.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper stock rotation to minimize waste and control costs.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards in accordance with local regulations.
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally to enhance the overall guest experience.
- Support financial management tasks including cash handling, sales reporting, and budgeting assistance.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement strategies for improving restaurant performance.
