Job DetailsLevel: EntryJob Location: Colorado Springs, CO 80915Education Level: High SchoolSalary Range: $30,000.00 - $35,000.00 Salary/yearJob Category: Admin - ClericalPTEC CTE Assistant Location: Power Technical (PTEC), Colorado Springs, CO Position Type: Full-Time Reports To: Director of Career and Technical Education (CTE) Position Overview The PTEC CTE Assistant will support the operations, reporting, and compliance of the Career and Technical Education (CTE) department. This role requires a high level of organization, initiative, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with staff, instructors, and external partners. Key Skills & Qualifications Proficient in Excel and Google Docs Self-starter with strong initiative Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong understanding of budgets (revenue and expenses) high school diploma or higher, bachelors preferred Primary Responsibilities Learn and assist with the daily operations of the CTE department Manage CTE budget line items and maintain records for the CTA report Learn and manage Cariina for CTE reporting and tracking Update CTE-related content on the school website as needed Support the CTE Director in ensuring program assurances are met Assist with planning and execution of annual events such as Pro Day and Expo Help coordinate CTE-related fundraisers Support to CTE Leads Monitor whether CTE teachers are meeting daily expectations Assist with articulation agreements (if applicable) Support Program Approval processes including: Advisory committees Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSO) like SkillsUSA and Robotics Certification tracking in collaboration with the Career & Academic Advisor Future Responsibilities (in coordination with CTE Director) Program approval and documentation for PTEC Coordinate with District 49 on: CDIP reimbursements VE-135 report Follow-up reports Attend PTECH-related meetings and complete associated reports Manage Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with organizations such as HBA, PPBEA, and NCCER Coordinate Work-Based Learning (WBL) initiatives Collaboration with Career & Academic Advisor Ensure student certifications are completed and recorded Track and report PTEC Connects events for state reporting Coordinate PTECH and character classes for ICAP and Program Assurance Support WBL efforts including internships and future employment connections PTEC CTE Assistant   ● Work with the Director: ○ Daily check-in and tasks assigned for the week with check-ins. ○ Keep up with the Director’s calendar, and when you see they are busy, ask if there is anything you can do to help. ○ Learn Program Approval for PTEC. ■ This will involve multiple state reports throughout the year. ○ Learn all PTEC CTE programs, requirements, and expectations. This will take shadowing the director for a year or more. ○ Learn and take over the CTE budget line items and keep all records for the CTA report. ■ Deposits will run through this position. ○ Learn Amazon ordering. ○ Learn how to support CTE teachers with field trips.     ● Work with the CTE leads and all PTEC staff ○ Learn Program Approval requirements and expectations for CTE. ○ Help the leads with the Makers Market and Fundraisers.   ● CTSO - Skills USA competitions, Robotics competitions – work with the advisor to make sure we are meeting state requirements.   ● Work with the Career and Academic Advisor: ○ Make sure certifications are complete. ○ PTEC Connects planned and recorded for state reporting. ○ By-semester items in Infinite Campus, working with the Career and Academic Advisor.   · Making sure the applicant understands this position is for 215 days, not the 191 the teachers work. As well, it is an hourly position. We are a school, so PERA will be automatically taken out of your pay, versus Social Security.
