Position Purpose & Summary

Develop, implement and manage programs for the operation and maintenance of all equipment and physical structures in compliance with resort, local, state and national codes and regulations to protect the asset, guests, members and team members to ensure optimum operations, minimize expenses and maximize guest and member satisfaction. Responsible for the short and long-term planning and day-to-day operations of the Engineering department. Leads and directs all engineering team members in accordance with policies and procedures. Recommends the department's budget and capital expenditure and manages expenses within approved budget constraints.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead and manage the human resources in the division to attract, retain and motivate the staff; hire, train, develop, empower, coach and counsel, conduct performance and salary reviews, resolve problems, provide open communication vehicles and discipline as appropriate.
  • Develop, recommend, implement, and manage the department's budget and capital expenditure plan, forecasts, and objectives consistent with maintaining a first-class property and leadership's expectations.
  • Develop, implement and manage a maintenance program and negotiate maintenance contracts for the resort and all equipment in compliance with resort, local, state and national codes and regulations to ensure the safety and satisfaction of all guests, members and team members and to protect the assets and maintain the property in first class condition.
  • Develop, implement, and manage energy conservation programs for the property to minimize expenses.
  • Coordinate renovation bidding, defining the cost and scope of projects and overseeing the general contractor and subcontractors to ensure quality work is performed for minimal cost.
  • Participate in all leadership meetings and functions to include MOD (Manager on Duty) Program.
  • Submit all reports and memos to appropriate parties.
  • Deliver "I Am Proud" service standards and department-specific signature touch points.
  • Establish cross-departmental channels of communication among teammates that are consistent and complete.
