Configuration Manager

Job Summary

KBR is seeking a Configuration Manager (CM) to join our team at our Colorado Springs, CO Office. The selected candidate will operate under the minimal supervision of a CM and support projects around ground-based mobile satellite communication systems and radio frequency engineering. The CM will receive direct mentorship in being able to plan and integrate technical data and structures into a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Tool. This position will apply principles and techniques of CM to support Systems Engineering and drafting on project.

Roles and Responsibilities

· Ensure system changes are properly identified, documented, controlled, and audited, minimizing risks and maximizing efficiency

Execute Division-level and Program Configuration Management Plans (CMP)

· Support development and conduct CM training to include processes and tools

· Collaborate with engineering, QA, DevOps, and security teams to support development and release activities

· Support government-led Engineering Review Boards (ERB) and Configuration Change Boards (CCB)

· Develop technical baseline products and change tracking artifacts

· Assist Systems Engineering with planning and conducting Functional and Physical Configuration Audits (FCA/PCA)

· Maintain Program Technical baseline in document repositories

· Assist in reviewing and preparing data for integration into PLM Tool

· Apply CM principles in areas of engineering structures

· Validate internal and vendor part numbers as required

· Provide latest versions of documents and drawings for engineering

· Communicate and collaborate with other engineering disciplines, manufacturing personnel, management, vendors, customers, and subcontractors.

· Support engineering documentation, i.e., drawings, project specifications, procedures, test data and results

· Abide by company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks

Basic Qualifications

· Must be a U.S. citizen

· Ability to obtain a US DOD Top Secret Security Clearance

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics or Science discipline and 10 years related experience

Preferred Qualifications

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively are essential.

· Experience using Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Power Point, and Word

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills necessary to communicate with customers

· Excellent written, verbal communications and presentation skills

· Knowledge of EIA-649-1, and MIL-HDBK-61

· Knowledge of DoD-5010-12-M and DoD-5015.02-STD

· Knowledge of Configuration Management and PLM tools

· Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket)

Salary Range: $140,000 - $160,000

The salary range posted is based on Colorado Springs, CO. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity
