We are pleased to announce the opening for a Facility Configuration Engineer who will join our Mission Engineering team at the Missile Defense Integration & Operations Center (MDIOC) / On-site and become part of our rapidly growing technology company operating in missile defense, cybersecurity, test range modernization, biotechnology, and space control marketspaces. You will be part of a team known for facility technical baseline governance and configuration management supporting MDIOC CTTO operations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Mission Systems Engineer Lead with Responsible Engineer duties as required regarding Facility Configuration Items (CIs)
- Oversee the lifecycle of facility change requests, from initiation to completion, ensuring all Configuration Management (CM) requirements are met by guiding stakeholders through the change management process
- Oversee the baselining of configuration items into the MDIOC Requirements, Architecture, and Engineering Baselines as required
- Guide the processing, review, categorization, and documentation of all CM activities prior to submission for government and contractor review boards
- Lead and conduct site surveys as a critical component of CM audits to validate the integrity of facility configuration items and configuration information
- Mentor and develop Mission Engineering CM teammates, creating a culture of continuous learning and clear opportunities for growth and advancement within the configuration management discipline
- Collaborate with Quality personnel to spearhead the resolution of any assigned findings, implementing corrective and preventive actions related to the MDIOC Technical Baseline
- Maintain a comprehensive training program for all CM processes, delivering training both internally and externally to the Mission Engineering organization
- Continuously evaluate organizational processes for improvement initiatives, driving a culture of continuous improvement within the CM team
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the strategic goals of the organization
Basic Qualifications:
- You must have a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field from an accredited institution.
- You will need at least 3 years of full-time professional experience.
- You must possess or be able to obtain an active Secret clearance.
- You must be a U.S. citizen to be eligible for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience executing configuration management efforts, including CM planning and management, configuration item identification and baselining, change management, status accounting, and CM verification and validation.
- Experience applying principles identified in EIA-649-C.
- Experience using BMC Remedy.
- Experience using GitLab, Jira, or other project planning tools.
- Experience developing and presenting training documentation and writing process documents.
- Experience tracking and providing configuration-management data for metrics and reporting.
- Experience developing and auditing baseline configurations.
- Self-driven approach to continuous learning and Mission Engineering process improvement.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to follow documented processes and procedures and provide feedback for updates as necessary.
- Ability to climb a ladder, work beneath elevated floor areas, and lift 40 pounds.
