Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies is seeking self-starting, team-oriented Full-Stack Application Software Engineers to join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team. This team is at the forefront of satellite command and control systems, leveraging web technologies, distributed computing, sophisticated cloud technologies, frameworks, and cutting-edge capabilities. Successful candidates will play a crucial role in developing and integrating mission-unique software with both existing and emerging technologies, using industry best practices.

Essential Functions:

  • Development and Integration: Perform software development and integration using industry best practices, including Agile methodologies, for government systems.
  • Mission Application Support: Provide development support for mission applications and frameworks.
  • Modern Practices: Participate in a development team employing modern DevOps practices and a technology-supported development infrastructure.
  • System Enhancement: Maintain and develop new capabilities for deployed systems, diagnose and resolve issues, and offer support to end-users as required.
  • Continuous Learning: Possess the technical talent and desire to continually learn new skills and promote innovative technologies.
  • Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers on the job as needed.
  • Architectural Adaptation: Have experience adapting existing baselines to new architectures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience. Alternatively, a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of related experience or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of related experience.
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Proven expertise in Agile Software Development Processes and Methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Java, Python, and C# software development life cycles.
  • Proficiency in DevSecOps practices.
  • Comprehensive understanding of software testing and quality assurance.
  • Experience leading a development team using Scrum methodology.
  • Experience in integrating, testing, and deploying software applications to operations.
  • Proficiency with Docker containers.
  • Active SCI clearance
  • Experience with Space Domain Systems.
  • Experience with Spring Boot framework.
  • Experience with ActiveMQ Messaging Systems
  • Expertise in algorithm development.
  • Experience with Astro UXDS.
  • Strong background in data management.
  • Expertise in configuration management and version control.
  • Experience with with Space OpsC2 (Operations Command and Control) systems and procedures.
  • Experience using a shared baseline on multiple development efforts concurrently.
  • Experience working with a diverse, multi-site, multi-company team.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $135,000 - $250,500. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New  York state, Cleveland Ohio, and Vermont is $117,000 - $218,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to  experience and geographic location.
