Required Qualifications: Certification: Current Registered Behavior Technician Certification through Behavioral Analysis Certification Board. Age: Must be 21 years or older at the time of hire. Education & Experience: High school diploma (or equivalent) AND four (4) years of experience working with children (this a must combine) OR a bachelor’s degree in behavior science. Driving: Minimum of five years of driving experience and a valid Colorado driver’s license, or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire. Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict, and make effective decisions under pressure while dealing with a variety of emotions and frustrations. Requires scheduling flexibility. Ability to communicate effectively with respect and tact in order to give, receive, and analyze information, formulate plans, prepare materials. Job Summary: The Lead RBT delivers one-on-one behavioral interventions to build communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors across home, school, and community settings. This role models effective de-escalation, provides training and support to staff, and plays a key role in crisis intervention. The Lead RBT ensures all practices align with day treatment and school regulations. Join us in creating a positive impact one student at a time! Benefits begin at first of the following month after completing a full 30 days of employment (i.e. start date 4 January 2026, benefits initiate 1 March 2026). Pay Range: $21.50 – $23.49 an hour paid bi-weekly based off experience with youth and education. Shift: 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday - Friday Duties & Responsibilities Create data sheets and collect, record, and graph behavioral data. Provide direct 1:1 and group student support using ABA teaching methods. Follow behavior acquisition and reduction protocols and support all behavior escalations. Model ABA principles and de-escalation strategies for teachers and paraprofessionals. Ensure weekly data entry and monitor program integrity across classrooms with BIS support. Communicate novel or increasing behaviors to the BCBA and BIS. Assist with parent training and gather necessary student materials. Collaborate with BIS, the Therapeutic Team Lead, families, and school staff. Assist in writing and implementing behavior intervention plans. Participate in community outings and drive agency vehicles as needed. Maintain confidentiality, a safe environment, and a clean/organized workspace. Attend required trainings and provide feedback to paraprofessionals. Uphold trauma-informed practices and recognize signs of vicarious trauma. Perform other duties as assigned. QualificationsRequired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong English communication skills; ability to read, write, and complete documentation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to perform simple math and analyze data. Must maintain Safety Care certification (training provided). Pass all background checks. Physical & Mental Demands Ability to assist with student care, interventions, and physical activities, including walking stairs. Adequate hearing and vision to supervise students safely. Emotional maturity, mental flexibility, and stability when working in challenging situations. The position to remain open until it is filled.
