SAIC is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Python Cyber Capabilities Developer to join our team within a premier Commercial Cloud Enterprise. The successful candidate will be pivotal in designing and developing advanced cyber capabilities. This role involves creating sophisticated tools and solutions to support Deny, Degrade, Disrupt, Destroy, and/or Manipulate (D4M) objectives for critical technical missions, with a special focus on Industrial Control Systems (ICS). The position requires a unique blend of specialized software development, process automation, and in-depth research into software and hardware vulnerabilities and exploit development for specialized systems. The ideal candidate will thrive on solving complex technical problems, adapt to dynamic mission requirements, and deliver secure, innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced cyber tools in Python, and software for Windows, Debian Linux, and embedded platforms.
  • Analyze and develop capabilities for specialized operational technology (OT) environments, including Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
  • Contribute to the full development lifecycle, including concept, design, testing, documentation, and deployment, following Agile methodologies.
  • Conduct vulnerability research and exploit development to support specific operational requirements.
  • Engineer and automate processes to enhance the effectiveness of cyber operations.
  • Develop and integrate solutions for Deny, Degrade, Disrupt, Destroy, and/or Manipulate (D4M) effects.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of security professionals to address complex technical challenges and deliver mission-critical outcomes.


Required Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Bachelors degree with 5 years, additional experience can be used in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience using Python for development. 
  • Experience in Department of War roles supporting joint or service-level computer network operations (CNO).
  • Demonstrated experience with Industrial Control Systems (ICS), including expertise in analyzing Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) logic and identifying their cyber vulnerabilities.
  • Prior experience as an Information Operations Network (ION) professional, Enlisted Analyst (EA), or graduate of the Computer Network Operations Development Program (CNODP).
  • Familiarity with network protocols and security architecture in ICS/SCADA environments.
  • Proficiency in programming with Python for tool and script development.
  • Possession of an appropriate Intermediate or Advanced cybersecurity certification (minimum of CompTIA Security+ or similar).
  • Proven ability to work effectively within an Agile development team.

Highly Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working on or in support of a Cyber Combat Mission Team (CMT), Red Team, or similar.
  • Hands-on experience with reverse engineering, malware analysis, or exploit development, particularly for embedded or OT systems.
  • Understanding of or experience with Industrial Engineering principles.
