RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST POSITION OVERVIEW:
Radiologic Technologist will provide radiology services while providing exceptional care to patients in a busy, high-paced orthopedic setting. Applicants must have strong patient care and communication skills. Must be independent, self-starting, and highly motivated. Excellent teamwork is required.Â
RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST Â ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform x-ray examinations on patients; confirm the appropriate exam has been ordered; prepare patients for x-ray; obtain risk of pregnancy information from female patients; determine appropriate exposure factors on x-ray equipment.Â
- Operate processing equipment; review images for accuracy; submit images to providers for review; complete procedures while maintaining quality of work within an established time frame.Â
- Perform routine radiographic examinations while practicing radiation safety (ALARA) procedures.Â
- Assist in duties outside of scope during down time, such as maintaining imaging medical records into EMR system and preparing x-ray CD’s upon patient request.Â
- Completing all competency and skill training per company policy.

RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:Â
- Ability to work with a diversity of patients in orthopedics.Â
- Demonstrates the ability to work independently and as a member of a healthcare team.Â
- Experience working with electronic medical record systems and picture archiving and communications systems (PACS).Â
- ARRT American registry of Radiologic Technologists Required
- Completion of an approved program resulting in Radiologic Technologist License
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist registered or registry eligible. Eligible personnel must submit a registration application within 90 days of employment. Eligible personnel must be registered within 12 months.

- Hours of business are Monday – Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Must be occasionally able to work early, late and long hours, as needed, to meet the essential functions of the jobÂ
