REPORTS TO: Senior Manager of Sponsorship & Sales
POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
The Sales Assistant is a customer-focused, client-facing role that is essential in delivery of seamless sponsor experience throughout the full sales lifecycle - ensuring our sponsors receive value from their investments. This position supports the Sponsorship & Sales team with general administrative tasks, reporting, data entry, and electronic filing.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for sponsor inquiries and provide professional administrative support - email communication, report tracking, updates, and distribution.
- Maintain strong relationships with new and existing partners/sponsors.
- Relay requests, feedback and issues to appropriate internal stakeholders and assist in efficient resolution.
- Assist Sales Team with maintenance of sponsor records in the CRM database - sales activity, pipeline updates, sponsor data, contract status, and post-event metrics.
- Provide timely and accurate sponsor communication regarding post-sale deadlines, deliverables, fulfillment requirements, and event details.
- Support the planning and execution of events and programs – scheduling and logistics coordination, onsite operations and issue resolution, sponsor and member support during events.
- Participate in post-event after-action reviews.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

- This position does not have budgetary or financial responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:
The following briefly describes knowledge, skills, abilities and characteristics associated with this position, including any required experience, education, licensure, certification, or combination thereof:
- High school graduate, or equivalent. Associate of Science in Business Administration, or similar degree preferred.
- Minimum of two years’ work experience in customer service or professional office setting.
- Familiarity with the aerospace industry and/or related trade associations preferred.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and experience with basic website updates and data entry preferred.
- Working knowledge of HubSpot or other Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This position involves extended periods of sitting or standing at a workstation and frequent use of a computer and other standard office equipment. Occasional movement, including walking, lifting, or carrying items up to 25 pounds, may be required. WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This role is primarily based in an office environment, with access to standard equipment and furnishings. The employee may occasionally be required to participate in offsite meetings or events, including potential travel as needed. The work environment is generally quiet to moderate in noise level. JOB STATUS:
- FLSA Classification: This position is classified as non-exempt according to guidelines of the Fair Labor Standards Act and, as such, an individual in this position is eligible to receive overtime pay for hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours per calendar week.
- Full-time: This position is full-time in nature. An individual in this position will work a schedule consisting of 40 hours per week.
- Work Location: This position’s primary work site is the headquarters location in Colorado Springs, CO. Space Foundation’s current hybrid policy allows for up to two remote days per week.
- Schedule: The position’s usual business days are Monday through Friday, and its usual business hours are 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. in the time zone in which it is located. This position’s nature and duties are such that Saturdays and/or evening events may be required to fulfill programmatic obligations.
