Role Summary
As an Automotive Sales Manager (onsite, full-time) in Colorado Springs, you will direct dealership sales operations through hands-on leadership and oversight of the sales team. This role exists to drive unit volume, gross profit, and disciplined execution of sales programs.
Key responsibilities include hiring, training, motivating, counseling, and evaluating salespeople; setting monthly and annual targets for unit sales, gross, expenses, and operating profit; tracking productivity; acquiring new and used inventory; administering factory programs; coordinating merchandising and vehicle promotion; using market analyses and sales reports to build effective sales campaigns; partnering with other departments; managing spend to budget;
Required qualifications:
- 4 to10 years of related experience and training
- Strong business reading/writing and presentation skills
- Solid math skills for discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages
- Practical, data-driven problem solving and sound judgment
- State Sales License and valid Driver License

Daily Operating Cadence
Your day begins with a disciplined review of prior-day results, lead flow, and month-to-date pace, followed by a quick pass through the showroom to confirm presentation standards and align priorities with the team. As Sales Manager, you’ll spend the morning balancing desk management with visible floor support—clearing deal bottlenecks, addressing customer escalations, and reinforcing consistent follow-up. Midday is typically reserved for inventory and program checks: validating the current mix, monitoring turn, confirming factory-program compliance, and fine-tuning merchandising and promotions based on market signals. Throughout the afternoon, you’ll stay in close communication with Sales Consultants, F&I, service, and accounting to keep deliveries smooth, and protect budget targets Before close, you’ll document action items, update reporting, and set up the next day’s coaching and manager-meeting agenda.
