Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Supervisor, Food Services, you will supervise and assume responsibility for personnel in assigned areas, ensuring all duties are completed satisfactorily, and provide leadership to patient care programs within the nutrition services department.

Every day you will enhance customer satisfaction in the cafeteria, catering, and patient services, identify opportunities to increase revenue, and implement quality improvement initiatives, reporting progress to leadership.

To be successful in this role, you will possess strong leadership and supervisory skills, expertise in food service operations, and the ability to effectively manage staff, drive customer satisfaction, identify revenue growth opportunities, and implement quality improvement initiatives.

- Directs store room clerk, cooks & other Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) team members, and provides for the operational needs of these positions.
- Supervisor will collaborate in implementing and sustaining infection control practices with the clerk to create a safe, sanitary, and orderly storage facility.
- Maintains communication with patients, staff, and customers regarding the level of services they receive from FNS staff. This data is relayed to the management team and/or staff whenever necessary.
- Maintains adequate staffing for daily needs reflecting cost efficiency.
- Assists with recruiting, hiring and managing the performance of staff.
- Assigns staff and workload, respecting changing priorities in daily operations.
- Supervisor will actively collaborate in the process of menu development for patient, cafeteria, and catering services.
- Actively working as a Supervisor within the food service.
Job Requirements
Required
- High School Diploma/G.E.D.
- Two (2) years of experience in food service industry or related experienceÂ
- Ability to read, write and speak English
Preferred
- Culinary Arts degree or equivalent education Previous food service leadership experience
- Experience with Food Service Operations database and Dietetic software
- Certified ServSafe Food Handler
