Plan for and deliver engaging, motivating, rigorous, and standards-aligned instruction using research-based practices. Design, implement, document, and revise lesson plans, curricular materials, and instructional resources as required by the school. Lead academic interventions for designated small groups using push-in and pull-out service models. Manage a caseload of students, including all required district, state, and federal special education documentation. Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with IDEA and Colorado Department of Education requirements. Facilitate IEP meetings and collaborate with families, general education teachers, instructional coaches, and related service providers to ensure services and accommodations are delivered with fidelity. Administer and analyze formative, interim, standardized, and progress-monitoring assessments to inform instruction and support student growth toward IEP and academic goals. Maintain a classroom environment that is inclusive, structured, and conducive to learning, aligned to school-wide academic and behavioral expectations. Serve as an adviser to a group of students and families, maintaining consistent communication and hosting required family conferences. Draft and revise scholar report cards to ensure clear, meaningful communication of student progress. Actively engage families as partners by understanding their backgrounds and experiences to support an equitable and inclusive school community. Collaborate professionally with colleagues and instructional coaches, demonstrating openness to feedback and continuous improvement. Maintain a school culture of high academic and behavioral expectations through reflection and adherence to shared systems. Participate in professional development, instructional planning, and required school events throughout the year. Support school operations as needed, including arrival, dismissal, lunch, field trips, academic support sessions, community events, and graduations. Provide classroom coverage for colleagues during absences when required (with additional compensation). Perform other related duties as assigned.
