Stellar Solutions is seeking a Systems Engineer to provide engineering support and technical baseline management for a global ground-based system. This role supports the continued integration, sustainment, and evolution of hardware and software baselines in a mission-focused environment where disciplined systems engineering and technical coordination are essential to operational success. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of ground system hardware, software integration on operational platforms, and core engineering lifecycle processes.
Role/Responsibilities/Qualifications
The Systems Engineer will help ensure technical integrity across a ground-based system that relies on coordinated hardware, software, and configuration-managed baselines. This role requires the ability to work across engineering disciplines to support system design, integration, sustainment, and change management activities. Success in this position will come from applying sound systems engineering practices while helping the program maintain reliable and supportable technical baselines.Key responsibilities include:
- Provide engineering support for a global ground-based system across hardware and software baseline activities
- Support technical baseline management for system components throughout integration and sustainment efforts
- Contribute to the design, integration, and sustainment of ground system hardware
- Support hardware-related activities involving sensors, antennas, communications infrastructure, and RF hardware
- Coordinate software baseline integration with hardware systems to support operational performance and sustainment
- Apply systems engineering processes across the lifecycle, including requirements management, configuration management, verification and validation, and risk management
- Support configuration management activities, including engineering change proposals and related baseline updates
- Participate in technical reviews and engineering assessments to ensure system readiness and technical consistency
- Help define, track, and maintain requirements to support system performance and mission needs
- Identify and communicate technical risks, issues, and integration concerns affecting system baselines
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, systems engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 8-10 years of experience in systems engineering or a related engineering role
- Experience with the design, integration, or sustainment of ground system hardware
- Experience working with hardware such as sensors, antennas, communications infrastructure, or RF hardware
- Familiarity with software development processes
- Understanding of how software baselines are integrated and sustained on hardware systems
- Experience applying systems engineering technical processes, including requirements management, configuration management, technical reviews, verification and validation, and risk management
- Experience supporting configuration management activities such as engineering change proposals
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting complex or globally distributed ground-based systems
- Experience working across hardware and software engineering teams in an integrated mission environment
- Experience supporting technical baseline management for operational systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate across technical stakeholders
Clearance & Additional Requirements
- Must possess, or be able to obtain and maintain, a Secret security clearance

Compensation:
The typical annual salary range for this position is approximately, USD $160,000 - $195,000. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to salary, this position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, profit sharing / retirement plan and other benefits (all in addition to annual base salary).
Deliverable(s)
Deliverables could be in the format of a report, software file, briefing, spreadsheet, or other document as directed by the Government, using government approved and/or mandated systems/software and processes governed by guidance/instructions/policy or direction. The nature of this work will, at times, require quick responses to stringent deadlines and always in a high quality, professional manner.
