This position will be in Colorado Springs, CO.Â
Position Overview:Â
The Modeling and Simulation Systems Engineer – Level 1 or 2 will support a growing portfolio of programs and IRADs that focus on missile defense, space, and intelligence and will support various modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) project teams performing systems engineering across the entire “systems engineering vee”.Â
Essential Functions:  Â
This position will specifically focus on the development and analysis of models and simulations utilizing the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM) Framework.Â
Seeking candidates who find satisfaction in working on challenging and diverse assignments in collaborative settings across all levels.Â
This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.Â
This requisition may be filled at either an Associate Modeling and Simulation Systems Engineer – Level 1 or a Modeling and Simulation Systems Engineer – Level 2.Â
Basic Qualifications:Â
Basic Qualifications for Associate Modeling and Simulation Systems Engineer – Level 1: Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 0 years of related work experienceÂ
Basic Qualifications for Modeling and Simulation Systems Engineer – Level 2: Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of related work experience, or a Master's Degree in STEM and 0 years of related work experienceÂ
Applicants must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearanceÂ
Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needsÂ
Comfortable communicating technical information to technical and non-technical customersÂ
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team settingÂ
Excellent written and verbal communication skillsÂ
Preferred QualificationsÂ
A current active in-scope DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI EligibilityÂ
Experience using the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM), Ansys Systems Tool Kit (STK), or a similar mission-level modeling and simulation frameworkÂ
Experience conducting trade studies and familiarity with trade study methodologiesÂ
Experience using agile development methodologiesÂ
Experience with Ansys ModelCenterÂ
Experience with SIMDISÂ
Ability to support development of systems engineering models utilizing SysML and CameoÂ
Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Graduate CertificateÂ
INCOSE ASEP/CSEP/ESEP certificationÂ
Object Modeling Group (OMG) Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP) Model Builder Fundamental CertificationÂ
