We're seeking dedicated Mental Health Technicians to provide individual and group guidance services to students and clients with behavioral, educational, personal, and/or social challenges, primarily in a school setting.

 

What We Offer:

  • Base pay of $18.50/hr. Additional $3/hr when working in the residential setting (through approved grant period).
  • Opportunity to obtain a substitute teacher authorization and earn an additional $1/hr while working in that role.
  • Bonuses of $100 after 30 days, $150 after 6 months and $200 after 1 year of employment. 
  • Medical, dental, vison and voluntary benefits available to employees the first of the month after 60 days of employment. Medical, dental and vision options available free of cost for employee only.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides consistent, full-time supervision for the education clients at all times to ensure accountability and safety of clients.
  • Works within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure unity in client care and treatment goals.
  • Participates in and follows intervention protocols specific to Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) including and up to physical restraint.
  • Assists in the transportation of clients as necessary per agency’s request.
  • Assists clients in treatment process to include social skills development, life skills development, and anger management.
  • Mandatory Reporter of Abuse (reports any and all concerns related to client care, safety and protection).

 

Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

 

Qualifications:

  • A 4-year college degree and at least one (1) year of relevant experience is preferred; however, the following substitutions will be considered:
  1. A high school diploma or equivalent plus at least two (2) years of experience in the human services field. 
  2. A high school diploma or equivalent plus 30 semester hours of college credit and at least one (1) year of relevant experience. 
  • Colorado substitute teacher’s license or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire. 
  • Qualified Medication Administration Personnel Certification (QMAP), or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.  
  • CPR/First Aid Certifications, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work with sensitivity to the cultural and/or socioeconomic diversity of the agency’s clients and staff.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and trust.
  • Must pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
