Job Summary
KBR is seeking a Automated Software Tester/Engineer to support our Electronic Warfare Systems team. This role involves designing and executing automated test scripts to ensure software functionality and quality across mission-critical systems. The ideal candidate will collaborate with developers and program managers to define test strategies and identify issues early in the development cycle. You'll be instrumental in maintaining high standards for software reliability through structured testing and ongoing improvements. This is a unique opportunity to support advanced systems while applying your automation expertise in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and execute automated test cases for new and existing software.
• Integrate automated test quality gates into development pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and define test strategies.
• Identify and document software defects.
• Create, perform regression and integration testing to validate fixes and updates.
• Monitor testing metrics and maintain detailed test documentation.
• Other tasks as assigned
Basic Qualifications
Citizenship & Clearance: Must be a US Citizen with active/current Secret Clearance or ability to obtain
Education: BA/BS in mathematics, engineering, computer science, or other related field
Experience: 5+ years of experience.
Technical Skills:
• Agile Methodologies
• Devops Build Pipelines - Jenkins, Bamboo, or similar
• Performance Testing, Regression Testing, User Acceptance Testing
• AWS
• Linux CLI
• Familiarity with testing codebases utilizing C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Typescript
• Familiarity with testing codebases utilizing React, Angular, or similar
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting government or Department of War (DoW) cloud environments with IL4 compliance.
• Background in full-stack engineering or development, with the ability to collaborate across infrastructure, development, and QA teams.
• Experience integrating automated tests into devops pipelines to establish software quality gates
Salary Range: $115,920-$173,775
The salary range posted is based on Colorado Springs, CO. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.
