Position Title: Lead Cashier

Department: Food & Beverage

Classification: Winter Seasonal, Full Time

Locations: Quick-Service Locations – Café 6311 and Off-Piste Market

Job Duties

  • Executes cash drops and closing processes.
  • Processes warehouse orders.
  • Resolves guest and restaurant conflicts.
  • Greets customers as they enter the location.
  • Accepts money in the form of cash, checks, and credit or debit cards for items purchased; validates checks.
  • Assists customers with questions or price discrepancies.
  • Ensures accurate transactions by balancing cash register at the beginning and end of shift, and sales at the end of shift.
  • Processes returns and exchanges according to policy.
  • Identifies prices of products and services and tabulates bills with available equipment.
  • Assists customers in locating various products, resolving complaints, or providing information.
  • Bags, boxes, and wraps purchased items.
  • Restocks drinks, snacks, and other products as needed.
  • Restocks cafeteria items including but not limited to napkins, condiments, utensils, etc.
  • Cleans and sanitizes all cafeteria surfaces at the beginning and end of service, as well as throughout service as needed
  • Takes out trash and recycling throughout service and at the end of the day.
  • Vacuums, sweeps, and mops cafeteria at the beginning and end of daily service
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Ensures that food is prepared correctly and to customer’s satisfaction; returns incorrect or improperly cooked orders to kitchen.
  • Works as a busser as needed.
  • Assists with other restaurant tasks.
  • May also assist with making coffee or other coffee drinks.
  • This role is an entry-level leadership role for candidates aspiring to grow.
