Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Weld Robot and Cobot Operator to join our QuikCut West team.

This role involves operating and monitoring robotic and collaborative welding systems to ensure high-quality welds

and efficient production. The ideal candidate will have experience with automated welding equipment and a strong

understanding of manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Operate and monitor robotic and collaborative (cobot) welding systems in a production environment.
  •  Load and unload parts into welding fixtures and ensure proper alignment.
  •  Perform basic programming adjustments and troubleshoot robotic weld paths as needed.
  •  Inspect welds for quality and consistency using visual and measurement tools.
  •  Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of robotic equipment and workstations.
  •  Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to resolve technical issues.
  •  Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  •  Document production data and report any defects or equipment malfunctions.
  •  Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.

Qualifications:

  •  High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in welding or robotics is a plus.
  •  Experience operating robotic welding systems (e.g., FANUC, ABB, Yaskawa) preferred.
  •  Familiarity with collaborative robots (cobots) and basic programming concepts.
  •  Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings.
  •  Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  •  Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
