We are seeking a detail‑oriented and safety‑focused Engineering Operations Specialist to support the coordination, compliance, and operational performance of our facilities programs. In this role, you will oversee key safety processes, manage regulatory inspections, maintain essential documentation, and help ensure a responsive, customer‑focused maintenance environment.
Safety & Regulatory Compliance
- Coordinate the organization’s internal Pest Management Program.
- Administer maintenance safety training through ExpandShare.
- Administer TPC training program for Facilities staff
- Serve as a liaison with the State Fire Marshal and Health Inspectors.
- Maintain contracts for fire systems, elevator services, pest control, and hood cleaning.
- Oversee fire alarms, fire extinguishers, smoke detector testing, and recordkeeping.
- Coordinate boiler and elevator testing programs.
- Ensure trade work and facility projects comply with OSHA safety guidelines.
- Maintain safety equipment including first aid stations, eye wash units, respirators, and AEDs.
Operations & Facilities Coordination
- Support exceptional customer service by ensuring departmental follow‑through on concerns and initiatives.
- Utilize work order and dispatch systems to track tasks and ensure timely completion.
- Establish compliant preventative maintenance schedules.
- Maintain a positive, collaborative working environment and respond promptly to colleagues.
- Participate in relevant meetings and training sessions.
Documentation & Administrative Oversight
- Maintain accurate electronic and written documentation, including asbestos and lead tracking.
- Assist in developing departmental policies and procedures.
- Review and recommend budget needs for assigned areas.
- Ensure compliance with entry procedures and notifications.
Training & Development
- Help identify and schedule training opportunities to support employee development.
Project Support
- Assist with project plan reviews and develop project safety plans.
Required Certifications
- Pest Control Certification
- Lead & Asbestos Certification (administrative purposes)
Professional Expectations
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance.
- Communicate proactively with supervisors, providing timely updates and recommendations.
- Follow departmental standards, guidelines, and goals.
