The Final Finish Technician supports our final product finishing operations, ensuring that all Nomad products meet established high-quality standards before they ship to customers.  This position reports to the Final Finish Supervisor and is responsible for troubleshooting and fixing Quality Assurance findings, assisting with end of product documentation, and supporting all aspects of end of build work content.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Ensure all products meet established quality standards and specifications.
  • Cross train with other departments to build a full understanding of all aspects of builds.
  • Assist with training of future finish team members.
  • Assist Final Finish Supervisor with ensuring the project traveler (green book) is thoroughly completed by the Production team.
  • Assist Final Finish Supervisor in ensuring all necessary forms are accurately completed prior to handing off products to Quality Assurance.
  • Work with the Graphics Installer on vehicle graphics prep as needed.
  • Conduct minor repairs and/or coordinate major repairs of projects as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Troubleshoot items identified by Quality Assurance (QA)
  • Ensure all Quality Assurance (QA) findings are resolved prior to executive inspection.
  • Support possible FST work while vehicles are onsite.
  • Clean and prepare projects thoroughly for shipment.
  • Support loading and unloading vehicles for shipment.
  • Support Final Finish Supervisor in identifying and process improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and optimize production flow.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Confidently read and follow blueprints, diagrams, instructions, and Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs).
  • Safely and correctly use appropriate equipment.
  • Clean and prepare vehicle as needed.
  • Communicate with Assembly Team Lead and Quality Assurance staff to ensure that quality control requirements are met.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.



BASIC KNOWLEDGE DESIRED:

  • Demonstrate understanding and application of Nomad Core Values.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and workflows.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in using BOMs and other production documentation.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Have strong attention to detail and measurements. Quality work is essential.
  • Be skilled in using applicable tools for vehicle installs.
  • Be able to work well as part of a team.



PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Regular use of hands and arms to manipulate, handle, feel, reach, or operate objects, tools, or controls.
  • Frequent standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, sitting, and crawling.
  • Frequently lift/move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Assistance required for anything heavier than 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus and distinguish colors.
  • Must have the physical stamina to work in awkward positions and stand for prolonged periods.



WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • Partially environmentally controlled indoor area with temperatures fluctuating between 60°F and 100°F, typically maintained around 70°F.
  • Occasional outdoor work required.
  • Exposure to noise levels ranging from low to loud; safety hearing devices provided as needed.
  • Possible exposure to household and commercial chemicals; adherence to safety protocols outlined in Safety Data Sheets (SDS) required.
  • Mandatory wearing of OSHA-approved safety eyewear and closed-toed shoes at all times on the production floor.
  • Use of additional personal protective equipment (PPE), such as respirators or protective coveralls, may be necessary for specific tasks.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Additional education is a plus.
  • 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with demonstrated experience in material handling, BOMs, and drawing interpretation.
  • Willingness to learn vehicle wrapping to assist as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing.
