QualificationsÂ
•   High School Diploma or GED.Â
•   Certified Pharmacy Technician national certification and State of Montana Pharmacy Technician License. Â
•   Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.Â
Experience
•   One to two years prior experience in a pharmacy or healthcare environment is preferred.Â

Main Duties and Responsibilities of the Role: these duties are the essential functions and are not all-inclusive of all duties that the incumbent performs. Â
•   Reports to work on time and as scheduled.Â
•   Accurately preparing prescriptions by retrieving, pouring, counting, labelling, and/or reconstituting prescription medications paying careful attention to specific programs and regulations (e.g. 340B). Â
•  Handles hazardous medications.Â
•  Accurately entering all patient and prescription information into the pharmacy software.Â
•  Communicating with physicians, patients and third-parties, such as insurers; always verifying 2 patient identifiers.Â
•   Answers phone calls promptly.Â
•   Processing third-party rejections, communicating and resolving issues.Â
•   Performs inventory control and management, including ordering, unpacking and organizing incoming merchandise, sorting items that require special handling, perpetual inventory counts, 340B audits, restocking shelves, removing outdated drugs, preparing outdated/unneeded drugs for return/disposal. Â
•  Maintains and files records of dispensing and receiving (invoices).Â
•  Helps maintain orderly, clean environment in the pharmacy, including cleanliness of pharmacy stock and supplies.Â
•   Provides completed orders to customers.Â
•   Properly processing Medicare/Medicaid Durable Medical Equipment (DME) claims.Â
•   Properly processing pseudoephedrine sales.Â
•   Solves routine problems on own.Â
•  Checking refrigerator and freezer temperatures daily.Â
•   Working as a team and communicating clearly.Â
•   Helping customers locate over-the-counter products.Â
•   Handling customer problems/ concerns in a calm manner and referring them to the pharmacist accordingly.Â
•   Assists the pharmacist in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care.Â
•   Maintain an attitude and philosophy consistent with GVHC standards. Be the ‘face of the pharmacy’.Â
•   Practices within the scope of education, training, and personal capabilities.Â
•   Complying with established procedures, rules, and regulations.Â
•   Follows federal, state and local legal guidelines; follows license criteria when licensure applies (ie: immunizations).Â
•   Maintains confidentiality, HIPAA, & OSHA compliance.Â
•   Performs other duties as needed and directed.Â
Working Environment Â
Work is performed in a pharmacy setting with computer/phone work and moderate noise. Standing, bending, sitting, lifting, stooping required.Â
•   Required to work at both Sykes Kalispell and Sykes Columbia Falls pharmacy locations weekly.Â
•   Required to work on a rotating schedule for Saturday shifts at Sykes Pharmacy Kalispell. Â
•   Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.Â
•   Ability to stand for extended periods of time.Â
•   Ability to bend, reach, climb, and squat frequently.Â
•   Ability to lift, push or pull a minimum of 25 lbs. Â
