Nutrition Technologist – Full-Time / Hybrid ($80,000-$90,000/yr)

RD Nutrition Consultants LLC is seeking a Nutrition Technologist to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to support nutrition science, product development, and regulatory compliance in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The position involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate nutrition, allergen, and ingredient information across a variety of platforms.
Schedule: 32–40 hours per week
Flexibility: Flexible days and hours
Setting: Hybrid (2–3 onsite visits per week; remaining hours completed remotely)
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate, based on experience
Travel Reimbursement: Paid travel time and mileage reimbursement provided
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage nutrition facts panels, allergen statements, and ingredient information for new and existing products
Ensure accuracy of nutrition data across menus, digital platforms, and marketing materials
Conduct regular nutrition reviews to ensure compliance with federal, state, and international regulations
Coordinate and interpret nutrition analysis from third-party laboratories
Review product specifications for nutrition, allergen, and ingredient accuracy
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Marketing, Legal, Purchasing, and Operations
Respond to complex nutrition, allergen, and ingredient-related inquiries
Review and approve foodservice and retail labels to ensure regulatory compliance
Monitor emerging nutrition science and labeling regulations and provide recommendations
Support development of clear, consumer-friendly nutrition messaging
Recommend product improvements and formulation updates as needed
Experience & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, Food Science, or related field
Strong knowledge of nutrition labeling regulations and ingredient standards
Experience with nutrition analysis software (Genesis R&D or similar) preferred
Excellent organizational and project management skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Working Conditions:
Medium physical demand role, including exerting 20–50 pounds of force occasionally, 10–25 pounds frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds constantly
Must be able to taste and consume a broad range of food and beverage items as part of product evaluation
Ability to stand for extended periods of time in office, kitchen, or foodservice environments
