Description
ThermAvant is seeking a full-time CNC Machinist to operate Haas vertical machining centers to produce high quality precision parts.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform work per ThermAvant’s safety practices and standard operating procedures
- Interact with engineers and manufacturing personnel to deliver products that meet design and quality requirements
- Inspect work to ensure requirements are met, and complete required paperwork to account for production and quality activity
- Trouble-shoot and resolve manufacturing process issues
- Develop cost saving measures through the continuous improvement process (Kaizen)
- Maintain a clean and well-organized work area
Requirements
Job Requirements
- Able to pass a background check
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in MicroSoft Office including Word and Excel.
- Ability to measure parts using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools.
- Basic shop math skills (i.e. convert between different units of measurement).
- Knowledge of G-code for proofing programs.
- Ability and willingness to learn, adapt quickly, and be cross trained.
- Good hands-on aptitude for mechanical systems.
Special Working Conditions/Job Characteristics:
- Full-Time 40 hours (Monday thru Friday)
- Willing to work overtime as required.
- Prior CNC machine or programming experience
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
