Position Overview: Supporting the Director of Nursing in overseeing the daily operations of the nursing department to ensure high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and staff performance. The ADON provides clinical leadership, supervises nursing staff, and helps maintain a safe, efficient, and resident-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• As an assistant director of nursing (ADON), you will supervise and delegate nursing activities.
• You will evaluate performance by the nursing department and recommend improvements.
• You will conduct patient rounds and address complaints.
• You will monitor and train the nursing staff.
• You will ensure all insurance paperwork for incoming residents is in order.
• You will conduct appropriate admission assessments of incoming residents to your nursing home.

Requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
• 2 years of professional experience in long-term care, preferably as an ADON.
• Active RN license in the State of Illinois and in good standing.
• Familiarity with medical software and equipment (PointClickCare).
• Ability to build rapport with patients and staff.
