Role Summary

The Ministry Team Member serves the mission of Forward City Church by helping create environments where people can grow in their relationship with Jesus and connect with the life of the church. This role supports discipleship, community building, and ministry programming that helps individuals take their next step in faith.

Ministry team staff help lead City Teams, equip volunteers, build processes and systems to make our volunteer experience excellent. This role will also support ministry initiatives of Forward City as a whole. 

Key Responsibilities

1. Ministry Development

• Assist in the planning and execution of ministry gatherings, programs, and discipleship initiatives.
• Help develop pathways for spiritual growth and engagement within the church.
• Support volunteer experience, improve processes, and ministry initiatives.

2. Volunteer Leadership

• Recruit, train, and support volunteers within ministry teams.
• Help cultivate healthy team culture and leadership development.
• Provide guidance and communication to volunteers and ministry participants.

3. Pastoral Support

• Assist in caring for individuals and families within the church community.
• Help create welcoming and spiritually meaningful environments.
• Support pastoral initiatives and ministry efforts across the church.
