What You Will Do:

At Independent Software, as a Data Scientist Level 2, you will support Advanced Weapons & Counter Proliferation (AWCP) mission activities by analyzing, manipulating, and visualizing complex data. You will apply data science and analytical techniques to help identify patterns, relationships, and information relevant to mission requirements.

This position is well suited for an analyst who enjoys working with complex data and developing effective ways to analyze and communicate technical information.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Analyze and interpret complex mission data to identify patterns, relationships, trends, and actionable insightsManipulate, organize, and analyze complex datasets
  • Develop data visualizations to communicate analytical findings
  • Identify patterns, relationships, trends, and anomalies within data
  • Apply analytical and computational techniques to mission-specific data
  • Support access and technology discovery activities
  • Research and correlate information from multiple data sources
  • Develop analytical methods and workflows to support mission requirements
  • Document analytical methodologies and findings
  • Collaborate with technical and mission teams to support operational objectives

Required Skills and Qualifications:
 
  • Experience with data analysis, data manipulation, and data visualization
  • Experience working with complex datasets
  • Ability to identify patterns, relationships, and relevant findings within data
  • Experience applying analytical or computational techniques to technical problems
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to independently research and analyze technical information
  • Ability to clearly document and communicate analytical findings
  • TechELINT data experience is a plus
  • Experience with access and technology discovery, including RF, VHF, or DMR, is a plus

Education and Experience:

Candidates must meet one of the following:

 
  • Bachelor's degree with three (3) years of relevant experience; OR
  • Associate's degree with five (5) years of relevant experience
Degree should be in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Applied Statistics, Machine Learning, Data Science, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.

Degrees in Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Physical Sciences, or other scientific disciplines with a strong computational, mathematics, or computer science background may also be considered.

Candidates with other degree disciplines may qualify if they have earned a Data Science certificate from an accredited college or university.

Relevant experience may include machine learning, data science, advanced analytics, statistical analysis, programming, data management, data mining, data modeling, artificial intelligence, or software engineering.




Clearance Requirement:
 
  • Must possess an active TS SCI with appropriate Polygraph to be considered for this role
