Position: Front of House Floor Manager

Job Summary:  The Front of House Floor Manager will assist with the training, and supervision of all Front of House staff at the Craft Brewery and Kitchen. This role will manage individual shifts, and special events, to ensure guests are served in a manner that meets our guest service standards in our bar and dining areas. This includes ensuring daily tasks are completed and the business is operating efficiently.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures outstanding guest service by providing a guest-friendly environment, high standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of guest services.
  • Assist with hiring, training and development of all Front of House team members.
  • Implements and maintains guest service standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests and help resolve any customer issues.
  • In conjunction with Assistant General Manager ensures daily goals, tasks and assignments are completed.
  • Completes ordering, PARS and inventory of all beer, wine, liquor and distilled spirts.
  • Develops and implements beer menu and cocktail menu based on product availability, seasonality and customer demand.
  • Ensure that all opening, and closing, responsibilities are completed.
  • Supervise bartenders and/or Front of House staff for special events.
  • Provide intervention assistance when servers observe guest’s behaviors while consuming alcoholic beverages and ensure their safety.
  • Maintains adherence to all company policies and procedures.
  • Provide coaching and performance feedback to Front of House staff.
  • Handle employee issues/concerns as they arise and work with Assistant General Manager on escalating employee issues.
  • Assist managers with administrative tasks, scheduling, ordering and inventory responsibilities.
  • Assist Event Sales team with analyzing and tracking all BEO invoices, contracts, and event payments.
  • Conduct post event follow-ups and event reporting for the Event Sales Team and Accounting departments as needed.
  • Possess Toast POS System knowledge, ability to perform troubleshooting, and train all Front of House staff on POS System use.
  • Ability to move kegs and operate a hand truck.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:  Provide direction for all front of house staff.

Required Qualifications: 

  • 1 year of supervisory experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Previous experience as a bartender, or server.
  • Very strong organizational skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and team building skills.
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter, proactive, open-minded, positive approach.
  • Ability to successfully motivate and coach others.
  • Highly effective multi-tasker.
  • Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
  • Competent in using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote.

Desired Qualifications: 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Hospitality, Brewing or related discipline
  • Experience with Restaurant Management Software, such as Toast.
  • TIPS Certified
  • ServSafe Manager Certified

Work Environment: 

  • Front of House.
  • Moderate to loud noise levels.
  • Occasionally encounter extreme temperature changes.

Travel Requirements:

Little to no Travel (<10%)

Lifting Requirements:

Able to occasionally lift up to 130 pounds.

Physical Requirement:
