Progressive Directions, Inc. (PDI) is hiring a compassionate, dependable, and organized Full-Time Home Manager for one of our residential locations in Columbia, Tennessee.


The Home Manager provides direct support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities while helping ensure the home operates safely, efficiently, and in accordance with each person’s individualized plan. This position is ideal for someone who can lead by example, support a team, stay organized, and remain focused on the dignity, independence, and well-being of the people we serve.


What You’ll Do

  • Provide respectful, person-centered support based on each person’s individual needs, preferences, and goals
  • Assist with daily living activities and personal care, as needed
  • Promote independence, informed choices, community involvement, and skill development
  • Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the home
  • Provide guidance, support, and direction to Direct Support Professionals
  • Help ensure shifts are properly staffed and communicate scheduling concerns to management
  • Ensure employees follow assigned duties, individualized plans, and PDI policies and procedures
  • Monitor the cleanliness, safety, and overall condition of the home
  • Assist with meal planning, grocery shopping, household routines, and appointments
  • Review required documentation for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
  • Help maintain records related to medications, personal funds, inventories, appointments, and service delivery
  • Report health, safety, staffing, behavioral, or maintenance concerns promptly
  • Provide transportation as assigned
  • Protect the rights, privacy, dignity, and confidentiality of the people supported
  • Participate in required meetings, training, and on-call responsibilities, as assigned

Requirements

 

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous direct support, caregiving, residential, or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle employee concerns professionally and follow the proper chain of command
  • Ability to read, write, communicate, and complete required documentation in English
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Reliable transportation and current automobile insurance
  • Ability to successfully complete required background checks and drug screening
  • Dependable attendance and the ability to work the assigned schedule
  • A patient, respectful, and supportive approach
