Animal Care Center of Carters Creek is seeking an experienced Lead Licensed Veterinary Medical Technician (LVMT) to join our team and support both outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry.

We are seeking a versatile, client-focused technician who thrives in a dynamic general practice environment - balancing exam room care, client communication, and hands-on procedural support. We value credentialed technicians for the clinical knowledge, judgment, and communication skills they bring across all areas of the hospital, helping elevate the quality of medicine, client experience, and patient care.

In this position, you will play a key role in both outpatient and procedural workflows, contributing to a consistent, high standard of care throughout the patient visit.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows
  • Performing anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
  • Assisting in surgery
  • Performing dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography
  • Maintaining accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation
  • Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
  • Identifying patient concerns and supporting efficient case management across the hospital
  • Building strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service

Schedule and compensation:

  • Compensation: $22 - 26 per hour, for each hour worked
  • This is a flexible full-time position, with availability needed Monday - Saturday with the Saturday shifts rotating every other weekend

Full-time Benefits Package*:

Minimum qualifications and skill set:

  • 5+ years of veterinary technician experience
  • Active and good-standing Licensed Veterinary Medical Technician (LVMT) license in the state of Tennessee
  • Proficiency in the following skills:
    • Proficiency in patient nursing, anesthesia monitoring, surgical assistance, and dental prophylaxis with dental radiography
    • Skilled in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, medication administration, laboratory diagnostics, and radiology
    • Ability to maintain accurate medical records while providing compassionate, low-stress patient handling and client education
    • Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
    • Professional communication skills, collaborative team mindset, and commitment to exceptional patient care and continuous learning

Additional Preferred Skills:

  • Ultrasound-guided cystocentesis
  • Experience with EzyVet practice management software is a plus
