MAINTENANCE AND SERVICES - OPEN SPACE OPS TECHNICIAN I

The Open Space Operations Technician 1 is a full-time (40 hours a week), year-round position that assists with maintenance of open space areas throughout Columbia.

Responsibilities:

Outdoor manual labor, including lifting, bending, walking, trash removal, and operation of small power and hand equipment.
Prior verifiable landscaping and/or ground maintenance experience is required.

Qualifications and Skills:

Be at least 18 years old
Have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
Must be able to obtain a Department Of Transportation Physical Fitness Certification.
Must be able to communicate effectively, work overtime on evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

Education:

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

Compensation and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $ 18.38 - $26.94 per hour. The actual pay rate offered will depend on the overall qualifications of the individual applicant for the position.
