We are seeking a full-time, team-oriented non-exempt litigation paralegal with at least 5-7 years of experience in handling and managing complex litigation cases. Candidate must be proficient in document drafting and experienced in both State and Federal Court procedures and electronic filings. Trial preparation skills and experience needed. Â
- Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate.
- Knowledge of both State and Federal Court procedures, and electronic filings.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to exercise initiative in problem-solving and the ability to make sound decisions in absence of clear instructions.
- Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required to handle large volumes of work associated with each case and transaction.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- 5+ years experience in a law firm or similar professional environment.
- Commercial litigation experience
- Knowledge of Interwoven/FileSite or comparable document sharing software.
- Trial preparation skills and experience.
- Knowledge of Elite or similar time-keeping software.
- Working knowledge of e-discovery products and procedures.
- Ability to read and understand legal terminology.
