Your Opportunity 

Stantec’s growing transportation practice is looking for a Roadway Design Engineer. This role may sit in either Charleston, SC or Columbia, SC. Get the chance to work on a variety of transportation improvement projects with Stantec’s structural engineers, traffic engineers, roadway engineers, transportation planners and environmental scientists.  You will be part of an experienced roadway team designing and delivering a range of transportation projects, including roundabouts, intersection improvements, bridge and interchange designs, in addition to bike/ped facilities and greenway/trail designs.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of design plans for transportation projects.
  • Support and coordinate work with multiple engineering disciplines, as well as drafting/CADD work for the project.
  • Perform engineering calculations, interpret engineering drawings and specifications, and assist with proposal preparation
  • Work with a team of designers to successfully deliver projects. 
  • Learn from senior project engineers or project managers.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.

Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
