Job Description:

BCC Engineering, a Parsons Company, is looking forward to hiring an experienced Roadway Engineer! In this role, you will be trained and mentored under supervision in the utilization of engineering theories and practices and gain valuable exposure to company standards and exciting projects.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Analyze and prepare roadway and Temporary Traffic Control Plans (TTCP) designs, calculations and drawings for Expressway/Limited-Access facilities and Arterial/Local roads using DOT and/or local jurisdiction criteria, with guidance provided on assigned tasks as required

  • Develop 3D Models of roadways, using Corridor Modeling in GEOPAK and/or Open Roads

  • Approach tasks with an open mindset; propose innovative solutions to design problems

  • Prepare engineering reports and contract documents for review

  • May assign, track, and review tasks of technicians or designers; technical discretion applied to first revision of technician work product

  • Potential to serve as the Engineer-of-Record on assigned engineering tasks

  • Responsible for managing timely completion of multiple assigned tasks

  • Communicate effectively with team members, internal design groups, and external entities including clients, subconsultants, and relevant government agencies

  • Effectively present proposed design solutions as part of internal project meetings; may attend and contribute to presentations with external parties

  • Adhere to company marketing requirements by providing timely personal resume updates and participating in marketing campaigns

  • Ensure timely completion of time sheets and expense reports

  • Take ownership of personal career development by seeking and providing feedback, seizing opportunities to develop new skills, and setting and pursuing personal goals

  • Contribute to the development of other team members through mentorship and modeling positive behaviors

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) and 3+ years of related work experience

  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration

Salary Range: $62,300.00 - $109,000.00
