Project Scope:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Project Management Consultant (Finance) to support enterprise-level SAP initiatives for a large statewide ERP environment. This role focuses on SAP Finance module support, ABAP development, functional analysis, system enhancements, and technical project delivery within a highly complex public sector ecosystem.

The consultant will work closely with the development team lead and business stakeholders to design, develop, test, and maintain SAP solutions supporting finance, treasury, logistics, and statewide enterprise operations. The ideal candidate should possess deep expertise in SAP ECC 6.0 Finance, public sector SAP implementations, and strong hands-on ABAP development experience.

Key Responsibilities:

·        Provide technical development and functional analysis support for SAP Finance and enterprise application initiatives.

·        Design, develop, test, and maintain SAP applications in alignment with project schedules and architectural standards.

·        Perform ABAP development, configuration, tuning, and administration for SAP FI, Treasury, and related modules.

·        Develop custom SAP solutions including reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and workflows (WRICEF objects).

·        Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and SAP configurations.

·        Create and execute unit tests, integration tests, and support user acceptance testing activities.

·        Develop test scenarios, test scripts, training materials, and end-user documentation.

·        Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and resolve SAP application defects.

·        Participate in SAP system upgrades, support pack implementation, OSS note application, and environment maintenance.

·        Support SAP integrations using technologies such as SAP PI, SOA, IDOCs, RFCs, REST/SOAP web services, and file-based interfaces.

·        Assist with implementation roadmaps, hardware specification planning, and solution architecture decisions.

·        Provide after-hours support as needed for system maintenance and critical issues.

·        Mentor junior team members on SAP programming standards, development tools, and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

·        10+ years of SAP ABAP solution architecture experience

·        10+ years of SAP ABAP software analysis, design, and development

·        10+ years of hands-on experience with SAP ECC 6.0 FI module

·        10+ years of experience with SAP Web Application Server

·        Strong experience with:

Object-Oriented ABAP Programming

ABAP Unit

Shared Memory Objects

ABAP Objects

Custom Reports and Dialog Programming

ABAP WebDynpro Applications

BAPI / RFC

SAP Enhancement Framework

ABAP Workbench

·        10+ years of practical experience with:

SAP upgrades, OSS Notes, Support Packs, SAP troubleshooting

·        10+ years of SAP Public Sector experience

Preferred Skills:

·        Public sector SAP ABAP development for WRICEF in ECC 6.0, SRM, and BW

·        Full lifecycle SAP implementation experience

·        Experience with S/4HANA implementations

·        Experience with integration technologies:

SAP PI, SAP Cloud Platform Integration, SOA, Web Services, IDOC, RFC, SOAP, REST APIs

·        Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools:

Word, Excel, Visio, Project

Certification and Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Finance, or related field
OR equivalent work experience
