Urology Associates of Central Missouri is the most comprehensive private urology practice in central Missouri. We are looking for an Referral and Access Specialist to join our team! Our goal is to provide the highest level of care, utilizing the latest, clinically proven techniques to diagnosis and treat a wide variety of urological disorders in men and women. Our Schedulers play a crucial role in daily patient flow. An energetic individual that is able to multitask and provide excellent patient care will find the most success in this role. Urology Associates of Central MO is a division of Missouri Cancer Associates and affiliated with the US Oncology Network! 

 

SCOPE: Under general supervision, is responsible for scheduling patient appointments and tests in an efficient and timely manner. Answers incoming calls and directs calls to appropriate personnel. Serves as a liaison between patient and medical staff. May include outside scheduling and/or surgical scheduling responsibilities. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

 

 


Responsibilities

  • Records patient cancellations and missed appointments, rescheduling appointments.
  • Notifies appropriate staff of the cancellation and makes notes in patient chart.
  • Schedule outside consultations/procedures ordered by physician
  • Provides general administrative support by scanning/filing charts and forms or ensuring they are sent to the appropriate department/personnel for filing and scanning. 
  •  Maintains a legible supply of forms and appropriate office supplies required for daily activities.
  • Adheres to confidentiality, state, federal, and HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) laws and guidelines with regards to patient’s records.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required. At least eighteen (18) months’ front medical office receptionist experience. Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) required.
