Job Description Summary

The Supply Chain Technician II perform varied essential materials, distribution, and logistics tasks within the department of Materials Management in support of clinical activities within the medical complex. The focus of this job purpose is based on the ability to determine replenishment requirements, locate, select, document issue of, and distribute medical supplies in all hospital floor units. Documenting receipt of and distribution of supplies and equipment are tasks required of this position. ​

Job Description

Performs receiving, checking, storing, inventory control and other duties in a warehouse, storeroom or supply room. Receives supplies and equipment; performs quality and quantity checks of new supplies and equipment. Maintains detailed inventory records of supplies and equipment on hand. Requisitions and issues parts, supplies and equipment. Administers and implements stock rotation schedules. Assigns identification numbers to appropriate property and equipment and applies property accountability decals. Performs periodic inventories and prepares inventory reports. Assists in the disposal of obsolete and surplus equipment.

Additional Job Description

High School Diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of 6 months as a Supply Chain Specialist I (or equivalent experience/duties at another employer) is required. All Contract-to-hire employees shall be eligible for Supply Chain Specialist II regardless of if they have completed the 6 month contract period.
