The Transloading Supervisor coordinates equipment and drivers to pick up and deliver loads as required.  The Transloading Supervisor unloads rail cars and transfers product to trucks within the customer's facility, safely and in a timely manner. The Transloading Supervisor will also supervise seasonal Transloading Operators, as required, to ensure the unloading and transfer of product is performed according to company and customer standards. Specific Duties and Responsibilities Ensure the daily unloading and transfer of product via the transloader between rail cars and trucks is complete, either by completing the tasks or by supervising others to do so. Utilizing customer programs to close out loads. Generate a weekly schedule of loads, assigning drivers and equipment, and updating schedule as needed. Maintain any necessary load logs as requested by management. Maintain the transloading facility in a clean, safe, and healthy work environment. Wear all required PPE in accordance with company safety protocol. Complete all operational tasks in according with company procedures. Completes all required operational, customer and regulatory documentation in a timely and accurate manner. Ensure visitors, vendors, and truck drivers comply with safety and PPE requirements. Maintain all railcar files including railcar arrival inspections, railcar BOLs, and truck BOLs. Perform railcar inspections and general maintenance on equipment. Coordinate railcar needs and defects with local rail service provider. Communicate with Grammer dispatch and management as needed. Assist with other duties within the facility (general maintenance, landscape upkeep and painting). Maintain productive, cordial relationship with other team members, customers, railroad crews and visitors. Ability to work extended hours including weekends and holidays. Experience & RequirementsEducation/Experience: High School Diploma or GED equivalent Read, write, and understand English Basic math skills Valid Class A CDL preferred Physical Requirements: Physically able to climb up and down railcars/ladders safely Ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs and can carry at least fifty (50) pounds Ability to stand, bend, reach, Willing to receive general safety training In good physical condition (able to walk one (1) to two (2) miles per shift)Â
