Primary Responsibilities:

We are currently looking for a Senior Accountant who will be responsible for maintaining compliance with financial transaction standards and overseeing the control and reconciliation of accounts related to financial statements, consolidations, and the preparation of complex journal entries. This role also includes preparing internal and external reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, as well as contributing to ad hoc projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate recording of financial transactions and reconcile accounts in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Prepare and review complex journal entries, including those related to financial statements and consolidations.
  • Generate and manage internal financial reports for management as well as compliance-related reports for external stakeholders.
  • Work closely with lenders, investors, auditors, and property managers to provide necessary financial information and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Support the Assistant Controller in various accounting functions.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring deadlines are met and tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.

What You Bring to Us:

  • Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required).
    • A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience (required).
    • Experience in real estate accounting is a plus.
    • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
    • Ability to manage competing priorities and handle multiple projects at once.
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
  • Reports to: Assistant Controller
