bout the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in the Consumer Support Services industry.

As an Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial information across the organization. Responsibilities include preparing and analyzing data, developing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, identifying errors and exceptions, and supporting the monthly close process. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in Excel and data analysis, with the ability to work with large data sets and develop efficient reporting and reconciliation tools.

In addition to traditional accounting responsibilities, this role is expected to actively identify opportunities for process improvements, support automation initiatives, and leverage technology to increase efficiency and accuracy. The successful candidate will be a problem solver who continuously seeks ways to improve workflows, strengthen internal controls, and enhance the quality and timeliness of financial information.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis
  • Experience with general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close processes
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must possess strong Excel skills with the ability to analyze large data sets, create reporting tools, and utilize advanced functions such as Pivot Tables and XLOOKUPs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or 5 years of relevant accounting experience without a degree.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply cash to receivables accurately and timely.
  • Perform general ledger accounting functions, including journal entry preparation and process development, account reconciliations, control compliance, balance sheet reviews, detailed account activity.
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Participate in the monthly accounting closing process, including the preparation, review and presentation of monthly, quarterly and year-to-date account variance analyses.
  • Proactively assess, develop and enhance processes and procedures on a continuous basis.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Provide support during audits and implement audit recommendations.
