About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 68-day locum tenens assignment in Ohio, starting August 18, 2025. This position involves providing primary care services in a clinic setting, working 8-hour days from 8 AM to 5 PM. The assignment covers specific dates from August to November 2025. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing general primary care cases, conducting physicals, and treating conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, colds, coughs, and flu. This role serves employees and their dependents in a primary care office setting, including walk-in patients. Proficiency with Epic EMR is required. This opportunity offers potential for extension beyond the initial assignment period.

Schedule: 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday 


Job Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide comprehensive primary care services for employees and their dependents 

• Conduct physical examinations and preventive care screenings 

• Manage chronic conditions such as hypertension and diabetes 

• Diagnose and treat acute illnesses including colds, coughs, and flu 

• Handle walk-in patients and urgent care needs 

• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans 

• Educate patients on disease prevention and health maintenance 

• Accurately document patient encounters using Epic EMR 

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes 

• Stay current with best practices in family medicine and primary care


Additional Information: 

• Must be licensed as a Physician Assistant in Ohio 

• Experience in family practice and primary care required 

• Proficiency with Epic EMR system preferred 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team 

• Flexibility to adapt to clinic protocols and procedures
