About The Position

 We are seeking a skilled Occupational Medicine Physician Assistant for a locum tenens position in Ohio. This opportunity, available through Barton Associates, involves providing occupational health services at an Occupational/On-Site Clinic for 8 days. The assignment begins on 05/19/2025, with a flexible 8-hour daily schedule, including early starts at 5 AM on Mondays and Wednesdays to accommodate third-shift workers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for injury care (typically BLS), conducting physicals including DOT examinations, and performing urinalysis screenings for pre-employment, annual, and post-employment purposes. Thorough charting and documentation for all patient encounters are essential. This role offers a chance for extension and requires proficiency in Cority software and a current Ohio PA license.

• Provide injury care, typically at the Basic Life Support (BLS) level

• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations, including DOT physicals

• Perform urinalysis screenings for pre-employment, annual, and post-employment purposes

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Cority software

• Collaborate with employers and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality occupational health services

• Adapt to flexible scheduling, including early morning shifts for third-shift workers

• Adhere to occupational health and safety regulations and best practices

• Provide patient education on workplace health and safety


Additional Information:

• Must be licensed to practice as a Physician Assistant in Ohio

• Experience in occupational medicine preferred

• Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse populations
