Performs MRI examinations on pediatric patients, ensuring the production of quality diagnostic images.


 

Job Description:


 

Essential Functions:

  • Operates MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images of patients' internal structures.
  • Prepares patients for MRI procedures by positioning them correctly and administering contrast media as required.
  • Monitors patients during MRI scans to ensure their safety and comfort.
  • Maintains accurate patient records and ensures that all images are properly labeled and stored.
  • Maintains MRI equipment to ensure optimal image quality and patient safety.
  • Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret MRI images and provide accurate diagnoses.


Education Requirement:

Graduate of an accredited educational program for Radiologic Technology, required.


Licensure Requirement:

  • Active Status with the Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, required.


Certifications:

  • Current CPR Certification, required.
  • ARRT certification (MRI) within 18 months of employment, required.


Skills:

Excellent communication and organizational skills.


Experience:

  • Two years of clinical experience in the Radiologic Sciences, required.
  • One year of experience in MRI procedures, preferred.
  • Experience in pediatric setting, preferred.
