ALLERGY TECH

Southern Indiana ENT is seeking a compassionate and organized Allergy Tech with previous experience administering allergy testing and shots. This is a full-time position and requires travel between all locations, Columbus, Franklin, Greenwood, and Seymour. This position is Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM. This role will report to the Practice Administrator.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administering allergy tests, skin tests, and pulmonary function tests.
  • Assist Physicians, Mid-Level Practitioners, and Registered Nurses with the evaluation, management, and treatment of patients in an ambulatory care setting.
  • Maintain patient flow, the upkeep of exam and treatment rooms, and performing basic skills such as vital signs and point of care testing.
  • Educate patients on allergy management and prevention.
  • Call and schedule patients' appointments and verify insurance.
  • Over time cross train in all specialties and ancillary services including ENT, Sleep, Allergy, CT, and Triage.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Current CPR Certification required
  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program preferred
  • LPN Certification preferred
  • Minimum of two years clinical experience preferred
  • Ability to work in a high stress, fast paced environment

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position has no supervisory responsibility.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Current Medical Assistant Certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT REQUIRED.
